About Me
I'm a compulsive writer. I've done it only for the purpose of cleansing my mind, but in the last several years I realized how much I enjoyed telling stories. It wasn't until I began blogging that I realized just how others were affected by my writing.
My short stories, still kept under lock and key for my eyes only, began to take on a new shape. I had purpose. I didn't just want to tell a story, I wanted to help others through my stories. We all deal with a range of emotions througout our lifetime: grief, loneliness, desperation, happiness, love, pain, etc. My hope is that when readers find escape in my stories, they may also find answers.
I wrote two manuscripts at the beginning of 2013, and am currently working on my third. My second manuscript was submitted to Harlequin's So You Think You Can Write 2013. What a surprise it was to find out that I had won!
I received a two book contract with Harlequin KISS. The winning entry will be released in Fall 2014.
And the personal stuff...Ready?
I live just outside of Boston with one of my sisters. I currently work as a bridal consultant, helping brides make their wedding dreams a reality. I have a degree in Biblical Studies. I'm obsessed with Ancient Roman history. I am constantly attempting something crafty or creative whether it be sewing, painting or cake decorating. I sing in my church's worship band. I grew up in Florida as a Pastor's kid, oldest of four. The whole family still serves in church together every Sunday. I can't get enough of my nephew, Kade. He's a year and a half and is pretty much the main man in my life these days. He's got me wrapped around his chubby little finger.
